What is the surface on mars made out of?
Recently the mars perseverance rover landed on the red planet. It was a milestone in space exploration. This made me wonder more about mars, and what it is made out of. I was hoping one of you out there can please answer this question so that I can know why Mars is red.

Actually, the martian surface is made out of iron dust and rocks all the same color which is why the mars surface is red. But that was a good question.
